Sold to Philipe as per annotation in the Catalogue, Probably Thomas Philipe Lugt 2451 (London Dealer, collector and auctioneer) for the sum of 7 pounds 6 shillings.
Possibly his sale 15th-17th June 1818 under the Direction of G. Jones.
Possibly, The Estate of the late Mary Elizabeth Fairfax (1922-2017).
About: This Italian renaissance drawing has been confirmed as being a drawing that relates to “Madonna della tenda”, by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Italian 1483-1520) and is possibly an auxiliary drawing for the painting. This drawing was catalogued as being by the hand of Raphael at the 1804 London sale of renowned collector John MacGowan.
